What the terms actually say

Section 1.10 — Exclusion of Customers

We hereby reserve the right to exclude customers with conspicuously high (and unusual) product return behaviour from further purchases for a period of up to 12 months.

Zalando may ban you from making purchases for up to a year if they determine your return history is excessive or abusive.

Section 1.9 — Order Cancellation

We reserve the right not to accept an order or to cancel the order if the order is being placed by the use of software, robot, crawler, spider or any automated system or scripted behavior.

Zalando reserves the right to cancel orders placed using automated tools or third-party services.

Section 8.1 — Voluntary Return

Without prejudice to your statutory right of revocation, we offer you the option of returning merchandise within 30 days of you receiving them.

Zalando provides a voluntary 30-day return window, which is more generous than the statutory 14-day requirement.

Section 11.8 — Dispute Resolution

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

Zalando does not force users into private arbitration, leaving ordinary legal recourse available.
