What the terms actually say

Section 3 — User Content

By providing any User Content on the Site you grant us... a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, fully-paid, fully sublicensable, and fully transferable right to use... for any purpose.

You grant New Relic a permanent, global, and unrestricted license to use your content for any reason, which survives even if you delete your account.

Section 9 — Limitation of Liability

NEW RELIC’S ENTIRE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OF USE WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

If the company causes you harm, the most you can recover in a legal claim is $100.

Section 1 — Accessing and Using Our Site

We reserve the right to update the Terms of Use at any time without notice.

The company can change these terms whenever they want without telling you, and your continued use counts as agreement.

Section 7 — Enforcement and Termination

We have the right to... cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order.

The company reserves the right to hand over your data to authorities at their discretion.

Section 8 — Indemnification

you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us... harmless from and against any claims... including without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees

If the company is sued because of something you did, you are responsible for paying their legal bills.
