What the terms actually say

Section 9 — Arbitration

You understand and agree that you and talkie are hereby waiving the right to a trial by jury and the right to join and participate in a class action.

You are forced into private arbitration and cannot sue the company in court or join a class action lawsuit.

Section 3.3.1 — Ownership and Warranties

By uploading any User Content, you hereby grant and will grant Talkie... a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free... perpetual, irrevocable license to copy, display, upload, perform, distribute, store, modify, and otherwise use your User Content.

The company takes a permanent, irrevocable license to use anything you create on their platform for any purpose, including advertising.

Section 1.1 — Modification of the service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue... the Services... with or without notice.

The company can change or shut down the service at any time without notifying you.

Section 7 — Limitation of Liability

in no event will talkie' total liability to you for all damages... exceed the amount you have paid company in the last six (6) months, or, if greater, one hundred dollars ($100).

The company limits its legal liability to a maximum of $100, even if they cause you significant harm.

Section 11 — Changes to terms of service

We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.

The company does not promise to notify you of changes via email; you are expected to check their website periodically.
