What the terms actually say

Section X.1 — Arbitration Agreement

You and Spotify agree that any dispute... will be determined by mandatory binding individual (not class) arbitration.

You cannot sue Spotify in court; you must use private arbitration.

Section IX.2 — Changes to the Agreement

We may revise these Developer Terms from time to time... By continuing to access or use the Spotify Platform after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Developer Terms.

Spotify can change the rules at any time, and your continued use means you agree to the new terms.

Section VIII.2 — Limitation of Liability

YOU AGREE THAT SPOTIFY’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESES DEVELOPER TERMS IS LIMITED TO FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500).

If Spotify causes you harm, the most you can recover is $500.

Section IX.8.4 — Enforcement

We may take enforcement action at any time... We may or may not notify you in advance.

Spotify can shut down your access or terminate your account without telling you first.

Appendix A.5.c — Account Linking

If a Data Subject disconnects accounts... you shall discontinue accessing the applicable Spotify Personal Data and delete the applicable Spotify Personal Data in your possession or control within five (5) days.

You must delete user data promptly if they disconnect their account.
