What the terms actually say

Article 20 (Language, Governing Laws and Jurisdiction)

Any controversy, claim, dispute and/or legal proceeding resulting out of or relating to the Agreements... must be brought in a federal or state court located in New York, New York and any claim(s) will be forever waived and barred unless filed within one year.

You are forced to resolve disputes in New York and waive your right to sue after one year.

Article 16 (Granting of Rights to Information on the Event Page)

By submitting, posting or displaying the Content, the Organizer agrees to grant Peatix a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, modify, adapt, publish, transmit, display and distribute such Content in any form.

Peatix gains a permanent, royalty-free right to use your content in any media forever.

Article 18 (Revisions to the Agreements)

In the event any Member uses the Site after the effective date of the revised Agreements, such Member shall be deemed to have agreed to the revisions to the Agreements.

Continued use of the site constitutes your agreement to any changes, even if you are not notified.

Article 13 (Suspension of Use or Revocation of Membership)

Peatix may without prior notice suspend usage of the Services, access to the Site, and/or revoke the membership of the applicable Member.

Peatix can ban you or delete your account at any time without warning.

Article 8 (Canceling Membership)

When a Member wishes to cancel their membership, they should promptly apply for cancellation with the exception of a Member who has a published an un-finished event.

You can cancel your membership through the site without needing to call or mail them.
