What the terms actually say

Section 4 — Waiver of Liability

THE MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY, IF ANY, OILPRICE.COM MAY OWE TO YOU IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT, THE SITE, AND YOUR USE OF THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT, SHALL NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE OR THEORY OF LAW OR RECOVERY, EXCEED $1000.

The company limits its total financial liability to you to $1000, regardless of the circumstances.

Section 1(a) — Agreement and General Terms of Use

Oilprice.com may modify this Agreement and any related terms of use of the Oilprice.com website, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon Oilprice.com posting of the modifications to the “Agreement” and/or “Terms of Use” area of the Oilprice.com website.

The company can change the terms at any time without notifying you, and you are bound by the new terms immediately.

Section 9 — Indemnification

User agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Oilprice.com, its officers, directors, employees, agents, information providers and suppliers from and against all claims, causes of action, suits, losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorney’s fees...

You are responsible for paying the company's legal costs if they are sued because of your actions or your use of the site.

Section 5(a) — User Subscription Fees

Users must submit cancellation requests by email to [email protected] at least 48 hours prior to the renewal date in order to avoid automatic renewal of the Service. Upon termination of the Service, User acknowledges that all yearly & monthly subscription fees previously charged to User’s credit card in consideration for User’s access to the Service will not be refunded, in whole or in part.

Cancellation is not a simple toggle; it requires an email, and you are not entitled to refunds for unused time.

Section 7(a) — Termination of Agreement

Oilprice.com may terminate this Agreement and User’s access the Service at any time and for any reason upon notice to User.

The company reserves the right to terminate your account for any reason at their discretion.
