What the terms actually say

Section 20 — Arbitration Clause

You and Compass... agree that... we will resolve any controversies... through final and binding arbitration instead of through court proceedings... Neither you nor Compass may act as a class representative... with respect to any Claim.

You are prohibited from suing the company in court or participating in class action lawsuits.

Section 8 — Content Permissions

By uploading or otherwise providing User Content to the Services, you grant us an irrevocable, non-exclusive, perpetual, fully paid, royalty-free, worldwide license to: (i) use, copy, distribute... and (ii) to sublicense these rights.

The company gains a permanent, global right to use, modify, and share your content for any purpose.

Section 15 — Termination

We may terminate your access... at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, and effective immediately.

The company can ban you and delete your data at any time for any reason without telling you first.

Section 25 — Modification

We reserve the right... to modify or replace any of these Terms of Service... at any time. If such modification is material, we will post a notice on the Site... Your continued use of the Services following posting or notification... constitutes acceptance of those changes.

The company can change the rules at any time, and by continuing to use the site, you automatically agree to the new terms.

Section 6 — Our Additional Rights

We also reserve the right... to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information as we reasonably believe is necessary to (i) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request.

The company reserves the right to share your private information with government agencies.

Section 4 — Account

You shall have the ability to delete your Account either directly or through a request made to us.

You have a clear, self-serve mechanism to delete your account.
