What the terms actually say

Section 7.2 — Granting Us License

you hereby irrevocably grant us... a license to do all of the above, worldwide, in perpetuity and royalty-free.

You give the company a permanent, worldwide right to use your content that you cannot take back, even if you delete your account.

Section 11.2 — Wizards' Termination Rights

We may, at any time and in our sole discretion, suspend, terminate, deactivate, and delete your account... with or without notice to you for any reason.

The company can ban you and delete your access at any time for any reason without telling you beforehand.

Section 11.3 — Consequences of Termination

Upon termination... you will not be entitled to any refunds, and we will have no liability to you.

If they terminate your account, you lose all your digital content and are not entitled to any money back.

Section 12.1 — Modification Notice

When changes are made, we'll post the updated Agreement on D&D Beyond (here) and, for those with a D&D Beyond account, we'll also send an email notification about any significant updates.

The company promises to email you if they make significant changes to the terms.

Section 2.3 — Account Deletion

You may delete your D&D account at any time, for any reason (or no reason).

You have the right to close your account whenever you want.
