What the terms actually say

Section 8 — License to Content

you grant Brightcove a world-wide, royalty free, perpetual, license to use, copy, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, create compilations including, create derivative works of, and distribute such Content

You grant the company a permanent, irrevocable right to use your content in any way they see fit, forever.

Section 5 — Termination

Any such termination or suspension shall be in Brightcove' sole discretion and may occur without prior notice, or any notice.

The company can ban you or delete your account at any time for any reason without warning.

Section 11 — Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Brightcove... harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party

If the company gets sued because of something you did, you have to pay their legal bills.

Section 6 — Prohibited Conduct

You expressly acknowledge and agree that Brightcove may preserve Content and may also disclose Content if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary

The company reserves the right to hand over your data to law enforcement without notifying you.

Section 13 — Jurisdiction

You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

You are forced to resolve all legal disputes in Massachusetts, regardless of where you live.
