What the terms actually say

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any dispute arising from or relating to the subject matter of this Agreement shall be finally settled by arbitration in Los Angeles County, California.

You cannot sue the company in court; you must use private arbitration in California.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS - FANS

you hereby grant Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free... license to use... the User Submissions

The company keeps a permanent right to use anything you post, even if you delete your account.

MODIFICATION OF TERMS OF USE

Company reserves the right... to modify or replace any of the terms... without notice or liability.

The company can change the terms at any time without telling you.

TERMINATION

Company may terminate your access to all or any part of the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, effective immediately

They can ban you and delete your data for any reason without warning.

INDEMNIFICATION

You shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Company... from any and all liabilities, claims, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees

If the company gets sued because of you, you have to pay their legal bills.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

for any direct damages in excess of (in the aggregate) one-hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00).

The most you can ever recover from the company for damages is $100.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS – ARTISTS

Bandcamp will not use, and will not permit others to use, any Artist’s Music to train models to generate sound recordings... without that Artist’s express permission.

Bandcamp promises not to use your music to train AI models without your permission.
