What the terms actually say

Section 3.1

By submitting any User Submissions to this Service, you grant Al Jazeera a non-revocable, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, alter, prepare derivative works of, display, perform, or delete any or all parts of the User Submission in its own sole and absolute discretion

You grant the company a permanent, global right to use, change, or delete your content for any purpose without needing your permission.

Section 1

Al Jazeera reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting changes online and it is your responsibility to refer to and comply with these Terms and Conditions upon accessing the Service.

The company can change the rules at any time without notifying you directly; you are expected to check for updates yourself.

Section 10

Disputes arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions, and any use of the Service, shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the Qatari courts.

Any legal action against the company must be brought in Qatar, which is likely inconvenient for international users.

Any cause of action you may have with respect to these Terms and Conditions, and any use of this Service, must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises.

You have a limited one-year window to bring a legal claim, after which you lose the right to sue.

You agree to indemnify and keep indemnified Al Jazeera and all of its employees, affiliates, subsidiaries and associates from any and all claims, damages, expenses, compensation, costs and liabilities

You are required to pay for the company's legal defense and damages if your use of the service leads to a third-party claim.
