What the terms actually say

Section 11 — Arbitration Agreement

YOU AND TUBI WAIVE THE RIGHT TO BRING OR PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH DISPUTES. ... you and Tubi agree that any Dispute between you and Tubi ... will be resolved in a binding, confidential, individual and fair arbitration process, and not in court.

You are forced to resolve all legal disputes through private arbitration rather than in a court of law, and you are prohibited from joining class action lawsuits.

Section 5.1 — License to User Content

You hereby grant us an unconditional, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free ... license to use, reproduce, adapt, prepare derivative works based on ... User Content in any manner, in any format, and on any platform.

Tubi claims a permanent, irrevocable right to use, modify, and profit from anything you post, without needing to pay you or ask for permission.

Section 1 — Changes to Terms

Tubi may modify these Terms of Use at any time by posting the modified Terms of Use on the Tubi Services ... without advance notice, at our sole discretion and without liability to you.

Tubi can change these terms whenever they want without sending you an email or notification; your continued use of the service counts as your agreement to the new terms.

Section 12 — Termination

We may terminate your access to and use of the Tubi Services, at our sole discretion, at any time and without notice to you.

Tubi reserves the right to ban you or delete your account for any reason, or no reason at all, without giving you any prior warning.

Section 13 — Statute of Limitations

YOU AND WE AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION ... MUST BE COMMENCED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES.

You have only one year to file a legal claim against the company, which is significantly shorter than the standard time limit in many jurisdictions.

Section 12 — Account Cancellation

You may cancel your Account via the functionality provided in the Tubi Services.

You can delete your account easily through the app settings without needing to contact customer support.
