What the terms actually say

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

In no event shall the Owner... be liable for any claims... in an amount exceeding the amount paid by User to the Owner hereunder in the preceding 12 months...

Your ability to recover damages is strictly capped at what you paid in the last year, which may be zero for free users.

INDEMNIFICATION

The User agrees to defend, indemnify and hold the Owner... harmless from and against any and all claims... including, but not limited to, legal fees...

You are financially responsible for the company's legal costs if your use of the service leads to a lawsuit.

VENUE OF JURISDICTION

The exclusive competence to decide on any controversy... lies with the courts of the place where the Owner is based...

You must resolve legal disputes in the company's home jurisdiction, which may be inconvenient.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

In such cases, the Owner will appropriately inform the User of these changes.

The company promises to notify you when they update their terms.

TERMINATION BY THE USER

Subscriptions may be terminated by sending a clear and unambiguous termination notice to the Owner... or... by using the corresponding controls inside Pixelcut.

You have a clear, self-serve way to cancel your subscription.
