What the terms actually say

Section 3 — User-Submitted Information

you give Matterport an unrestricted, irrevocable, perpetual, transferable, sublicensable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, publicly perform, transmit and distribute any such material you submit

You grant Matterport a permanent, global right to use your content for any purpose, including commercial exploitation, without compensation.

The company can change the terms at any time without notifying you, and your continued use constitutes acceptance.

Section 17 — Miscellaneous

In any such action, you and Matterport irrevocably waive any right to a trial by jury.

You forfeit your constitutional right to a jury trial for any legal disputes.

Section 12 — Indemnification

You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Matterport... from and against any all third-party claim, suit, action, or proceeding

You are financially responsible for the company's legal costs if they are sued due to your use of the service.

Section 13 — Site Security

Matterport will investigate any alleged or suspected violations and if a criminal violation is suspected, we will cooperate with law enforcement agencies in their investigations.

The company commits to sharing your data with law enforcement during investigations without explicitly requiring a warrant.

Section 2 — Prohibited Activities

You may not train any artificial intelligence or machine learning model using Matterport Data... Internal use for service enhancement or product improvement by Matterport is permitted.

The company restricts third-party AI training on your data, though it reserves the right to use it for its own product improvements.
