What the terms actually say

Section 60 — User-Generated Content License

The user’s license granted to the Company in the User-Generated Content is given without monetary consideration to the User; the license is worldwide and given for an unlimited term, and also includes recurrent use of the Content on any media... including giving a right to the Company to grant sub-licenses, create derivative works...

You grant Haaretz a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and sub-license your content for any purpose.

Section 92 — Statute of Limitations

it is hereby agreed on a limitation period of 6 (six) months from the date of publication or the event forming the subject of the User’s request, as the final date on which the User may approach the Company with any assertion and/or demand and/or claim.

You waive your right to sue the company for any issue that occurred more than six months ago.

Section 90 — Unilateral Modifications

The Company reserves the right to change the Terms of Use on the Site from time to time, at its sole discretion. Any such changes will be binding on the Users from the moment of publication of the updated Terms of Use on the relevant Site.

The company can change these terms at any time without notice, and you are bound by the new terms immediately upon publication.

Section 29 — Government Data Sharing

The Company may pass on any information and the User’s personal details to the competent authorities or third parties, if, at its discretion, it is necessary in the circumstances.

The company reserves the right to share your personal data with authorities whenever it decides it is necessary.

Section 20 — Subscription Cancellation

A Subscriber may end her/his subscription at any time by leaving a clear notice by phone... or in writing, via fax... or email.

You can cancel your subscription through multiple accessible channels including email and phone.
