What the terms actually say

USER CONTENT AND BEHAVIOR ON THE SERVICE

By submitting User Content... you grant Busuu a worldwide, royalty-free... and non-exclusive license to reproduce, modify, and publish such User Content... (iii) in respect of User Content which provides comments... for the purpose of marketing the Service and/or the Premium Services to third parties.

You grant Busuu a perpetual, royalty-free license to use your comments for their own marketing purposes.

USER CONTENT AND BEHAVIOR ON THE SERVICE

You acknowledge and agree that Busuu may preserve User Content and may also disclose User Content if required to do so by law, or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with legal obligations...

Busuu reserves the right to disclose your content to law enforcement or third parties if they believe it is necessary.

PREMIUM SERVICES

Where you purchased a Premium Service via the Site, you can set it to expire at the end of its current period at any time by going to “Settings” and then “Subscription” within the Premium Service.

You can cancel your subscription easily through the account settings menu.

INTRODUCTION

If we reasonably consider that any change to these Terms will negatively impact your legal rights or obligations in a significant way, we will provide you with at least 30 days’ notice of these changes and explain how to let us know if you refuse to accept the new terms.

Busuu promises to provide advance notice for significant changes to the terms.
