What the terms actually say

Section 21.1 — Arbitration

ANY AND ALL DISPUTES... SHALL BE DETERMINED EXCLUSIVELY BY BINDING ARBITRATION

You are prohibited from taking the company to court for any disputes.

Section 21.5 — Class Action Waiver

YOU AND IONOS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS SECTION 21.5 WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATION AS A PLAINTIFF OR AS A CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS ACTION

You cannot join or lead a class action lawsuit against the company.

Section 23.1 — Modification

This Agreement may be materially altered by IONOS by posting the new version... and if posted in this manner, shall be effective immediately upon posting such notice.

The company can change your contract terms without sending you an email or alert.

Section 24 — Statute of Limitations

any claim or cause of action... must be filed within one year after such claim or cause of action arose or be forever barred.

You have a significantly shortened timeframe to bring any legal claims.

Section 15.1 — Government Disclosure

IONOS will not monitor, edit, or disclose any personal information... without your prior consent unless IONOS deems it necessary... to: comply with legal process or other legal requirements

The company may share your data with government agencies without notifying you.

Section 2.2 — Termination

IONOS may suspend performance under or terminate this Agreement... immediately and without notice

The company can shut down your account without warning.
